Latch makes spaces better places to live, work, and visit.

Renting physical spaces is the world's oldest subscription service. People spend a lot of money every month for an experience that is outdated, inconvenient, analog, impersonal, and leaves a lot to be desired. Latch is working to make every building better, and while we've methodically executed this mission since our founding with great success, we're just getting started.

Leveraging our knowledge from companies like Apple, BCG, and IDEO, we’ve rethought how people interact with space. Latch delivers a full-building operating system designed to help owners, residents, and third parties like guests, couriers, and service providers seamlessly experience the modern building. We’ve done this by combining software, devices, and services into a holistic platform that make spaces more efficient, enjoyable, and profitable.

At our core we have always been and will always be a product company, and more than half of our employees work in product development roles today.

Meet the team

Jason Keyes

Interim Chief Executive Officer

Jason is interim Chief Executive Officer of Latch. He serves as a Partner and Managing Director of AlixPartners, a global consulting firm, a role he has held since 2021. He previously served as a Director of AlixPartners from 2018 to 2021. Prior to that, Jason was with Zolfo Cooper, a financial advisory and interim management firm, from 2008 until its acquisition by AlixPartners in 2018. He has more than 15 years of turnaround, corporate finance, and restructuring experience spanning such industries as technology, transportation, retail, energy, aerospace, and infrastructure.

Jason has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and a Master of Accounting degree from the College of William & Mary and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (Charterholder) and a certified public accountant.

Brian Jones

Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder

Brian Jones is a co-founder and the Chief Technology Officer at Latch. He has overseen the development of the cutting-edge technology that powers Latch’s entire hardware and software ecosystem from the very start.

Brian leads all of Latch’s technical teams including software, electrical, mechanical, firmware, and robotics, totaling more than 80 engineers. His work building a technological foundation based on the idea of unifying access control for businesses—by applying a modern web application-type framework—has empowered Latch to quickly scale in an industry ripe for technological disruption. Under Brian’s management, as Latch’s innovation has scaled, so too has its broad patent portfolio spanning security, privacy, and wireless technologies.

In addition, Brian is responsible for the development and delivery of Latch’s products and services, and manages the Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Reliability, and Security teams. Together, they have built and delivered hundreds of thousands of units across Latch’s hardware portfolio, and built the software and firmware solutions that connect it all in one seamless experience: LatchOS.

Prior to Latch, Brian oversaw technology architecture initiatives, solution development, and testing with companies including GridPotential. His expertise centered on building remote data acquisitions systems and deployed hardware fleets that were deployed to serve some of the world’s most challenging technical environments. From smart grid monitoring in Haiti to remote soil sensing in Mexico, Brian has built products that capture, synthesize, and present data to a wide variety of enterprise customers.

Brian holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology

Marc Landy

Interim Chief Financial Officer

Marc is interim Chief Financial Officer of Latch. He served as a Director of AlixPartners from 2008 to 2022, and was promoted to his current role as a Partner in 2023. Marc has more than 35 years of professional experience in various accounting-related disciplines. He has advised management teams, investors, boards of directors, board committees, and other stakeholders in matters involving accounting, financial reporting, and financial operations in high-impact situations.

Marc has a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Florida. He is a certified public accountant and a Chartered Global Management Accountant.
